Arrival in Leh, Gear Check & Evening Walk

• Altitude: Leh (11,562 ft / 3500 m)

The trekkers' adventure officially begins on this day, as they travel from their separate locations to Leh. On this day, the hikers will relax and acclimate to the high altitude after reaching Leh. Trekkers who like to learn more about the customs and culture of the area might visit monasteries and historic temples once they have slept. When the day is over, they may also savor the local food before going to bed.

Acclimatization and Sightseeing

You will visit the historic spiritual sites of Shanti Stupa and Hemis Monastery, where you may study Buddhism. Following your afternoon tour to Leh Palace, you will have some free time to explore the neighborhood markets and soak in Leh's splendor. You will receive a briefing from the excursion leader, who will also address any queries you may have.

Leh to Peldo (Drive)

Duration: 7- 8 Hours
Altitude: 4,520 m (14,836 ft)

To begin, you will drive from Leh to Peldo, a secluded community on the shores of Tsomoriri Lake, early in the morning. On your journey, you will see many amazing landscapes, such as expansive meadows, animals, and snow-capped mountains. The residents of Peldo will greet you and give you a tour of the town when you get there. You can also take a walk and investigate the neighborhood. You may unwind in your cozy tents and prepare for the upcoming trekking expedition after taking in the scenery.

Peldo to Skyruchu

On this day, you will journey for four hours from Peldo to Skyruchu, passing through expansive fields and undulating hills.With little actual ascent, today's hike is not very difficult, and you will have plenty of time to take in the breathtaking scenery. You may spend the night in a lovely campground that greets you upon your arrival at Skyruchu.

Skyruchu to Chamser Kangri Base Camp

The walk today consists of a mild ascent to the Chamser Kangri mountain's foot. There are breathtaking views of the lake and surrounding area during the first portion of the walk. At these great elevations, you will also be surrounded by wildflowers and bushes, which is a veritable paradise. Ascending to Chamser Kangri Base Camp is the second, and rather more difficult, portion of the journey. Although the ascent is hard as you approach the base camp, the surrounding mountain vista is breathtaking!

Rest & Acclimatization Day

Enjoy the breathtaking vistas as you stroll slowly around Base Camp in the morning. A crucial component of your Chamser Kangri Expedition, this day is devoted to rest and acclimatization, allowing your body to acclimate to the higher elevation. You should head back to your campground and have a delicious meal with your group as the sun sets. Plan for the upcoming days and get some much-needed rest.

Chamser Kangri Base Camp to Advance Base Camp

Duration: 5 Hours
Altitude: 5,670 m (18,602 ft)

Starting with a gentle climb, the 5-hour walk will take you from Base Camp to Advance Base Camp today. Along a clearly marked track, you will begin your journey from Base Camp. Sometimes the terrain gets steeper and tougher as you climb. The scenery is breathtaking; pause to enjoy the many perspectives of snow-capped mountains.

Load Ferry to Summit Camp & Back

Duration: 8 Hours
Max Altitude: 6,080 m (19,950 ft)

Today will be very easy in the beginning, but the terrain will get more complicated as you approach Summit Camp. As you hike, stay close to your guide since you may have to traverse moraines and glaciers. Once you reach Summit Camp, give yourself some time to enjoy the surrounding views of snow-capped summits and far-off mountains. 

Advance Base Camp to Summit Camp

Time Taken: 5 Hours
Max Altitude: 6,080 m (19,950 ft)

Although the hike from Advance Base Camp to Summit Camp is somewhat strenuous, it is well worth it! When you eventually get at Summit Camp, stop and enjoy the vista from this elevated location. You've accomplished a tremendous feat! Join your team in celebrating, take a little break, and, if you'd like, snap some photos. Before attempting to reach the peak of Mount Chamser Kangri, have lunch and rest. It's important to save your energy because you'll be starting late.

Summit Attempt & Descend

Duration: 12 Hours
Altitude: 6,622 m (21,725 ft)

At last, the moment has come to tackle the peak! Keep your guide close at hand as you traverse glacial moraines and crevasses. Before you begin your descent, take in the sights from the summit. Mountains including Mt. Nun-Kun, Kang Yatse, and Stok Kangri, as well as Lungser Kangri, are nearby and offer a 360-degree panorama. You should use the same path that led you up because the descent is difficult. 

Base Camp to Skyruchu

Duration: 7 Hours
Altitude: 4,600 m (15,091 ft)

At Base Camp, start your 12-kilometer hike to Skyruchu with a substantial breakfast before beginning. Be on the lookout for recognizable sites as the path will lead you back to where you came from. Spend some time appreciating the surrounding vistas of snow-capped summits and far-off mountains. When you arrive to Skyruchu, you will have done something that not many people are able to do. Congratulations!

Return to Leh

After breakfast in Skyruchu, head back to Leh. Spend some time reflecting on your amazing adventure and acknowledging your accomplishments when you arrive in Leh. You'll come away with a renewed respect for the natural world and a heartfelt memory of an amazing encounter. Therefore, the Chamser Kangri Expedition is over.

Departure - Leh to Delhi

With treasured memories and a deep bond with the mountains, it's time to say goodbye to Ladakh. Following breakfast, we will take you to the airport so you can continue your travels.
