Markha Valley Trek

The beautiful river valley of Markha is located in Hemis National Park and is situated in the dry, frigid desert of Ladakh. The hike across Markha Valley is incredibly adventurous and picturesque.

Crossing the high pass of Kongmaru La and reaching a height of 17,060 feet are two of the trek's many river crossings, some of which are waist-deep. The trail provides some amazing views of 21,300-foot Mount Kang Yatse. Along with lots of fauna, the trail also features amazing rocky canyons.
