Arrival in Leh, Gear Check & Evening Walk

You will be welcomed at the airport when you arrive in Leh and taken to your hotel. The team leader will do a thorough gear check after you're settled in to make sure everything is in working condition. There will be an acclimatization stroll through the local market in the evening. If something was found to be lacking or insufficient during the gear inspection, now is a great chance to buy or rent it.

Acclimatization and Expedition Briefing

Walk to Shanti Stupa first thing in the morning to start your day. There, you may take in the expansive vistas and let your body acclimate to the higher elevation. When they get back, the team leader will give a thorough expedition briefing that includes all the important details regarding the climb, safety precautions, and daily expectations. In order to make sure you are ready for the voyage ahead, you will visit the ancient Leh Palace after lunch and then the market for any last-minute purchases or rentals.

Drive from Leh to Skiu and Trek to Sara 

Altitude: 3600m

Driving from Leh to Skiu reveals the breathtaking landscape of Ladakh, which is made up of arid mountains and the meeting point of the Zanskar and Indus rivers. After arriving in Skiu, you will start your journey to Sara. Setting up camp for the night in Sara, in lush surroundings surrounded by arid landscapes, this trip will lead you through stunning yet untamed scenery.

Trek from Sara to Markha 

Altitude: 3750m

The hike from Sara to Markha today is lengthy and soaked in sunlight, with no break from the scorching Ladakhi heat. Mud and rocky peaks combine to create a distinctively beautiful environment. Before you camp for the night, you'll cross streams and take in the tranquil Markha Valley.

Trek from Markha to Thochungtsey

Altitude: 4300m

You continue your trek across Ladakh's breathtaking scenery. The journey will be difficult but worthwhile as you climb higher into the highlands and reach Thochungtsey, where you will spend the night at camp.

Trek from Thochungtsey to Base Camp (5100m)

Altitude: 5100m

With breathtaking views of Kang Yatse, the hike to the base camp is quicker than on prior days. It's a day to unwind and take in the natural beauty of the area while camping at 5,100 meters.

Rest & Training Day at Base Camp

An essential day for training and recuperation. on addition to being acquainted with the necessary gear, you will practice using crampons and walking on the snow, as well as psychologically and physically preparing for the summit attempt.

Ascend to Summit Kang Yatse 2 & Back to Base Camp

Altitude: 16250m

It's summit day! You'll begin climbing via moraine and scree around midnight and finally arrive at snow. You'll be rewarded with stunning views of the Zanskar and Karakoram peaks at the summit of the gentle ascent. You'll descend down to base camp after snapping a few photos.

Base Camp - Chokdo via Kongmaru La & Drive to Leh

Altitude: 3900 - 5200m

Following your departure from base camp, you will ascend to Kongmaru La Pass, which is decorated with prayer flags and provides breathtaking views. You will drive downhill to Chokdo after a quick stop at the pass, traversing mountainous terrain, and then return to Leh.

Departure - Leh to Delhi

With treasured memories and a deep bond with the mountains, it's time to say goodbye to Ladakh. Following breakfast, we will take you to the airport so you can continue your travels.
