Full Day Sightseeing of World Heritage Cultural Sites

Following breakfast at your accommodation, you will travel to three sites today: Swayambhunath Stupa, Boudhanath Stupa, and Kopan Monastery. One of the biggest stupas in the world, Boudhanath Stupa is another significant Buddhist location in Nepal. A Tibetan Buddhist monastery called Kopan Monastery is situated close to Boudhanath Stupa on a mountaintop. The monastery provides tourists with the chance to learn about Tibetan Buddhism and meditation techniques, and it is well-known for its meditation retreats and seminars.

Sightseeing Patan City and Namobuddha

Following your hotel breakfast, you will drive to Namobuddha after visiting Patan City to witness the Hiranya and Rudra Varna Mahavir. Patan City is one of the three historic cities in the Kathmandu Valley and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. A revered Buddhist shrine, Namobuddha is situated in the hills west of Kathmandu. In one of his past incarnations, Buddha is said to have sacrificed his flesh to a famished tigress and her pups there.

Kathmandu to Bhairahawa then drive to Lumbini

Fy to Bhairahawa, southwest of Kathmandu. Today, you will be traveling to Lumbini, the world's most significant Buddhist pilgrimage destination. Since there are no direct flights to Lumbini, you will land at the nearest domestic airport in Bhairahawa. After departing Bhairahawa, you will head to the hotel to be ready for the quick journey to Lumbini. The site has always attracted a lot of attention since Lumbini is the birthplace of Lord Buddha prior to his enlightenment.

Sightseeing at Lumbini

Many temples, monasteries, and other artifacts are on display across Lumbini's large area. Relics and excavations at the Maya Devi temple, which is accessible from the gardens, show the birth of Lord Gautam Buddha. Discover the adjoining little pond and Ashoka Pillar later. The pillar is really important. As you can see from the inscriptions, Ashoka, the Mauryan monarch, visited Lumbini in the third century and acknowledged it as the birthplace of Buddha.

Day tour to Tilaurakot

You will be transported to Pharping Monastery after being picked up from the domestic airport in Kathmandu. There, you may explore the hamlet, talk to the residents, and participate in religious activities before heading back to your lodging to conclude your Buddhist pilgrimage trip of Nepal. Departure or Onward to Next Destination
