DAY 01 TRIP | Travel with DTS INDIA

Arrival in Leh

Altitude: 3,500m

After landing at the airport in Leh, proceed to your hotel. Rest throughout the day to get used to the high elevation. Known for its vibrant culture and breathtaking scenery, Leh is a charming town in the center of the Himalayas.

Acclimatization Hike to Shanti Stupa

Altitude: 3,500m
Trek Distance: 3 km
Trek Duration: 2-3 hours

Enjoy a leisurely stroll to the magnificent white-domed Buddhist landmark known as Shanti Stupa, which offers expansive views of Leh and the surrounding mountains, to start your day. To get more acclimated, go to Leh Mountain. This hike not only offers beautiful views of the Stok Kangri range and the Indus Valley, but it also helps your body adjust to the altitude.

Drive from Leh to Likir, Trek to Yangthang

Altitude: 3,500m to 3,700m
Drive Distance: 58 km
Trek Distance: 10 km
Trek Duration: 4-5 hours

Travel by car from Leh to Likir, a village renowned for its historic monastery. Set out on your journey from Likir, traversing picturesque villages and picturesque scenery. The trail progressively climbs to Yangthang, a charming town encircled by verdant meadows and rocky mountains.

Trek from Yangthang to Hemis Shukpachan

Altitude: 3,700m to 3,600m
Trek Distance: 10 km
Trek Duration: 5-6 hours

Hike over the charming villages of Hemis and Shukpachan, crossing minor passes and taking in the tranquil surroundings. The hike provides breathtaking views of the verdant lowlands and snow-capped summits. The stunning scenery and apricot orchards of Hemis Shukpachan are well-known.

Hemis Shukpachan to Temisgam and Drive to Leh

Altitude: 3,600m to 3,300m
Trek Distance: 8 km
Trek Duration: 3-4 hours
Drive Distance: 85 km

Proceed to Temisgam, a medieval town featuring a stunning monastery and palace ruins, from Hemis Shukpachan. Enjoy the picturesque trip across the Indus Valley on your way back to Leh after touring Temisgam.

Leh Sightseeing Day

Spend the day touring Leh's historical and cultural landmarks. See Thiksey Monastery, Shey Palace, Leh Palace, and the lively Leh Market. The rich history of the area is better understood on this day.

Departure - Leh to Delhi

Stay: Spend the nights in shared tent accommodations at the appropriate campgrounds and spend the days off at the hotel or guest house.
Meals: Throughout the Trek, we served prepared meals from dinner on the first day to breakfast on the last day. These meals were straightforward, wholesome, vegetarian and non-vegetarian, and they weren't the same again.
Transport: Point To Point Mentioned Bases On Sharing Cars/Tempo
Trek Equipment: Sleeping Bag, Sleeping Tents, Kitchen Tent, Dining Tent, Toilet Tent.
Amenities: All Utensils, Sleeping Mattresses (Black Foam Mats), Crampons, And Gaiters For Snow.
Health & Safety: First Aid Box, Oxygen Cylinders, Stretchers, Oxi Meters, Bp Machines, Health.
Permits: Forest Permits And Camping Permission Fee.
Trek Crew: High Altitude Chef, Helpers, Trek Leader & Guides, And Other Support Teams.
Potters & Mules: Potters And Mules Are To Carry All Trekking Equipment, Ration, And Vegetables.

10% cancellation charges if canceled 30 days before the tour.
25% cancellation charges if canceled between 30 – 20 Days before the tour.
50% cancellation charges are if canceled between 19 – 10 Days before the tour.
No refund will be made if canceled 10 days before the tour.
No Refund or Compensation for any changes on the ongoing trip.
If the route or length of stay is altered because of a flight cancellation brought on by inclement weather, illness, traffic jams, or other unforeseeable circumstances, there will be additional fees.
